Spring 2008
Winter is FINALLY over! The birds are singing, the flowers blooming, and the sun shining! It's hard to work on writing when it's so beautiful outside, but I've been plugging away all winter long, so if I take a little break now and then to enjoy the outdoors, I don't feel too guilty. Too soon I'll be stuck inside again, while the summer sun threatens to melt everything around me. I've gone back to school and I'm working, and I'm writing, and I had some tests to take for a new job, so if you’ve e-mailed me and I didn’t write back, I’m not ignoring you. The best way to get me is really to send me a message through my MySpace page, or drop me a line atl: christinenorris02@gmail.com. I check it every day. Again, if you don't hear back immediately, don't take it personally. I'll try to respond ASAP. Book News The Crown of Zeus came into the world in electronic format in February! You can get it at Samhain Pubishing, Mobipocket.com, and Fictionwise, as well as most other e-book retailers. The print version will be available Dec. 29, 2008, and SHOULD be in local bookstores. My appearance schedule is filling up fast! I have at least three events in the next couple of months, and there should be more to come. Keep checking back at my appearances page for the latest updates. Wizard Academies… Not much more to report. The series is still under contract with a big Hollywood agent, who has given us every hope that the stories will be considered for a TV series. Now that the writer's strike is over, they're getting their pitches ready for when the studios to open their doors to new ideas. The first of the books, Wizard Academies I: A Gathering of Enchantment, is now available at Amazon.com and BN.com. Look for the others soon! Upcoming Releases and Stuff I’m Working on I just finished my first round of edits for The Ankh of Isis. We hope to have it all done by the end of the month, to make the deadline for the July release. I'm hoping to see some cover art soon! I'm happy with the book and the way the series is going, and I'm thinking up new and fun release contests! If you're a member of the Yahoo group, I'm cooking up some fun stuff for members only. Membership has its benefits! Meanwhile, I'm plugging away at finishing the third book in the series, The Mirror of Yu-Huang. It's presented some problems, because of the nature of Chinese mythology, but I think I've managed to capture the essence and make this book even more interesting than the first two. My Wizard Academies full-length book, which now bears the title Once Upon A Sorcerer, is waiting patiently for me to revise it. I have tons of notes, and I'm waiting until the semester is over and I finish Mirror, then I'll be able to fix it all up and make it wonderful. Which it will be, of course. I'm hoping to have both Mirror and Sorcerer ready to go by September.
